The Challenge in Replacing Sliding Door Rollers
Replacing the sliding roller is a cumbersome task and needs the assistance of professionals to make sure the project perfectly executed. However, before you commence, you need to understand that you need to take the sliding door out of its frame to work on the rollers and the sliding doors are quite heavy.
The first step to replacing the sliding door rollers is to unscrew and remove both aluminum stiles of moving panels; then one person lifts up the door while the other slides the bottom rail over so the roller screw can be accessed. Unscrew and remove the rollers, then replace with the new rollers. Repeat this same process to the other side and put back the doors together. Now, adjust the rollers so the doors can sit squarely in the frame. Once you have the sliding unit back in the door frame, you can adjust more for an excellent performance.
